Takeda Books “Edge of Normal”

This week, TV/Film actor Scott Takeda is on-location in Utah to shoot XYZ Film’s feature “The Edge of Normal,” starring Chloë Grace Mortz (“Kick-Ass”), Rupert Friend (“Hitman: Agent 47”), and Scott Haze (“Jurassic World: Dominion”). It’s based on the Carla Norton suspense thriller novel. This is Spanish director Carlota Pereda first English-language film. She broke out in 2022 when her Spanish-language horror film “Piggy” debuted at Sundance. Takeda has a supporting role in the film, playing college professor Eric Saito Losada.

Screen Daily has reported strong response from distributors prior to Cannes, with deals for the UK, Europe, and the Mediterranean areas.

Look for the film in festivals next year.
